Donald Weber is an internationally recognized documentary and architectural photographer. For close to twenty years, Weber has been at the forefront of his profession with numerous accolades such as a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Lange-Taylor Prize, the Duke and Duchess of York Prize, two World Press Photo Awards and was a finalist for the prestigious Scotiabank Photography Prize.
As a documentary photographer, Weber approaches architecture from the position of a narrative. He understands the inherent relationship between humans and space, creating a story illuminating the rich interplay of individuals, the environment and a building.
Weber originally trained as an architect and worked with Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This background has helped form a unique vision of architectural photography, his photographs reveal the contextual layers of a project. What he delivers to the client is an artistic approach grounded in accessibility and exceptional photographic quality.
